Updates
Welcome to the Jeppesen Database Updates web page. By following the steps
below, you will be able to download online database updates for your Lowrance
AirMap® 2000C, AirMap® 1000, AirMap® 500 and AirMap® 600C.
WARNING: If you have never installed MapCreate 6 Version
6.3 or newer, and you have not already installed the MMC-USB card
reader/writer program, install this card reader program from the Lowrance web site
before trying to unlock a Jeppesen Database Update:

running the Jeppesen Unlock Wizard on your Windows Vista PC, please download
and install this update:

Updated versions of the Jeppesen Americas and Jeppesen International
aviation databases are issued every 28 days.

Updated files can be downloaded and purchased over the internet.

Updating Instructions
- If you have never installed MapCreate 6 Version
6.3 or newer, and you have not already installed the MMC-USB card
reader/writer program, install this card reader program first. You can find
this program on the Lowrance web site:

USB 1.1 Card Reader Drivers.
- Connect
your MMC/SD card reader to your PC (the card reader must be an LEI/Lowrance
brand card reader to perform properly)
- Load an MMC or SD memory card with at least
16MB of unused space into the card reader
- Download a locked Jeppesen aviation database
update file to your MMC/SD memory card
(see the buttons below)
- Install the
Jeppesen Unlock Wizard
application - you only have to do this step once because you can reuse the
wizard for future database updates
(compatible with Windows® 98 Second Edition/ME/2000/XP)
- Be sure that the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is
installed on your computer
- If you are running the Jeppesen Unlock Wizard on
Windows Vista, please download and install this update:

- Run the Unlock Wizard to unlock the database
and assign it (encrypt it) to a particular memory card - for instructions on
using the wizard, read the
Jeppesen Unlock
Wizard Operation Instructions
- Optional - Make a copy of the unlocked
Jeppesen update database by copying the file on the memory card to your hard
drive
Jeppesen Database Updates
Please select one of the following options for download.
Jeppesen Unlock Wizard
When you initially download a Jeppesen Update,
the file is locked. The Jeppesen Unlock Wizard enables you to purchase an
update and unlock the file and assign it to a single MMC or SD card. The
Jeppesen Unlock Wizard completes the purchase by communicating directly with
the LEI web server over a secure, encrypted Internet connection. For instructions on how
to use the wizard, please read the
Jeppesen Unlock
Wizard Operation Instructions.
